Description

Replacement mowing disc for ANTHBOT Genie and M-Series

Around ANTHBOT, comparisons are strikingly common: Genie 1000 vs M9, Genie 600 vs M5, M5 vs Genie 3000. That may be relevant for the purchase decision—when it comes to the spare part, it disappears. All six models use the same mowing disc: Genie 600, 1000, 3000 as well as M5, M9 and M5 LiDAR. Optionally available with seven or nine pre-assembled stainless steel blades.

Mowing disc for ANTHBOT Genie and M-Series in the lawn
A replacement part for the entire product line

Six models, one disc

ANTHBOT runs the Genie series and the M-Series in parallel. They differ in navigation, mowing area performance, and equipment – but for the cutting system, the manufacturer has chosen a shared base.

This is a real advantage for owners. If you drive a Genie 1000 today and switch to an M9 later, you can continue using existing replacement parts. Even the blades are interchangeable between all models.

For us, that means we stock a single disc for the entire brand—and keep it in stock permanently instead of ordering it individually.

Note: ANTHBOT is still new to the German market and is expanding its range. If your device has a designation that’s missing from the list above, send us the information from the nameplate—we’ll check compatibility before you place your order.

Genie or M series?

This comparison is one of the most frequently asked questions about the brand—here’s the answer from a spare parts perspective:

Genie 1000 vs M9 and similar comparisons

If you’re deciding before buying, you’re right to compare these models: they cover similar areas and differ mainly in navigation technology and equipment.

For maintenance, however, the comparison is irrelevant. Genie and the M series share the mowing disc mount and blades—at ANTHBOT there isn’t a second disc you would have to choose between.

So if you’re looking for a “mowing disc for M9” or a “cutting disc Genie 3000”, you end up with this product in both cases.

Does the LiDAR version change anything about the disc?

No. LiDAR refers to the navigation technology—a laser scanner captures the environment in three dimensions. The sensor sits on top of the housing and has nothing to do with the cutting system.

The M5 LiDAR uses the same disc as the M5 without a laser scanner and as all Genie models.

There is still one practical difference: LiDAR devices drive more precisely along edges. This produces a clean edge profile, but it also brings the cutting edges into contact with garden borders and paving slabs more often.

Where else can I get spare parts for ANTHBOT?

That’s the weak point of the brand. ANTHBOT has only been available in Germany for a short time, so specialist retailers carry the right parts only rarely.

Sticking with direct ordering from the manufacturer—however, delivery routes can be inconveniently long during the mowing season.

We manufacture the discs ourselves and ship from the EU. That means the spare part is in the garden within a few days, instead of tying up the whole season.

Replacement on the ANTHBOT

  1. Switch the device off and remove it from the charging station.
  2. Put on gloves and lay the robot on its side.
  3. Remove clippings around the mounting area.
  4. Loosen the old cutting disc, fit the new one, and tighten evenly.
  5. Finally, tap each blade plate— it must be able to rotate freely around its screw.

For the LiDAR models, it’s worth taking a look at the scanner on the top afterward. If it’s covered in grass splashes, navigation becomes less precise—and the robot drives more meters than necessary.

7 or 9 blades

Both blade configurations fit all six ANTHBOT models. The deciding factors are how often the robot drives and how short the lawn is kept.

7 blades – for regular operation

The right configuration for gardens that the robot handles several times per week. Seven cutting edges provide a clean mowing pattern without the load being distributed across too many narrow edges.

Where growth is more vigorous or accumulates more between drives, this is the more robust option.

Mowing disc with 7 blades for ANTHBOT Genie
7 blades – the balanced choice
Mowing disc with 9 blades for ANTHBOT M9 in use
9 blades – for neatly kept lawn

9 blades – for daily use

The densest blade setup is worth it when the ANTHBOT is out and about nearly every day and only trims the tips. Then even individual blades of grass that remain standing disappear as well, which would otherwise be left over due to wider mowing paths.

With larger mowing intervals, the advantage is reversed: the same amount of work is spread across more edges, which therefore become dull earlier.

For owners of the LiDAR version, an additional thought: If you mow close to the edges, you should check the cutting edges regularly—most notches form there.

Choose 9-blade variant

Additional charge see selection above

When it’s time to replace

The cutting edge is torn instead of cleanly separated
The lawn looks dull two days after mowing
Along the edges of flower beds, blades of grass remain standing
A blade shows notches or turns with difficulty

Buy blades individually

Because ANTHBOT replacement parts are hard to find in stores, having a supply of blades is part of the basic equipment here. The 60-blade replacement set including screws fits all six models of the brand and is enough for many replacements.

Frequently asked questions

Does a cutting disc really fit all six ANTHBOT models?

Yes. Genie 600, 1000, 3000 as well as M5, M9 and M5 LiDAR use the same disc mount. The battery, range and navigation differ, but the cutting system does not.

What is the difference between M5 and M5 LiDAR?

The M5 LiDAR navigates with 360° LiDAR and two cameras instead of RTK – without an antenna and without the need for an unobstructed view of the sky. For purchasing the mowing disc, this makes no difference; for other replacement parts, it does.

Is the disc also available with 6 blades?

For ANTHBOT, we offer 7 and 9 blades. A 6-blade version is not intended for this mowing system.

Are 9 blades worth it for the Genie 3000?

If the robot runs every day and removes only a small amount of grass length, yes. With operation twice a week through tall grass, the difference is hardly noticeable.

I have two ANTHBOT—do I need two different mowing discs?

No, one supply is enough for both devices, regardless of whether it’s the Genie or the M series.

How do I identify my exact model?

On the nameplate on the underside, you’ll find the full designation. This is important because the names are very similar.

Are the blades pre-assembled?

Yes, both versions come with fully assembled blades.

7. Check after installation

  • Are all screws fully inserted and securely fastened?
  • Is the cutting disc straight and firmly seated?
  • Can the blades move freely, if intended?
  • Have no tools or foreign objects been left in the area of the cutting disc?
  • Does the cutting disc run freely and without grinding?

8. Operation and Maintenance

  • Check the blades, screws, and cutting disc regularly for wear.
  • Replace damaged or heavily worn parts immediately.
  • Clean the cutting disc regularly of grass clippings and dirt.
  • Do not use the lawn mower robot if unusual noises, vibrations, or running problems occur.
  • Use only compatible replacement parts and suitable mounting materials.

Note on Blade Replacement

Always replace blades in good time. Dull or damaged blades can worsen the cutting pattern,
place a greater load on the lawn mower robot, and impair safety.
