Sunseeker: wide mowing deck, high cutting height
Sunseeker positions itself in the mid-price segment and, with the V3 and X3, relies on a comparatively wide mowing deck with a higher cutting height. The combination ensures an even cutting pattern on larger areas, but it also comes with a requirement that is less prominent with smaller robots: The mowing disc must run cleanly balanced.

Typical problems with Sunseeker robots
Vibration as the first sign of wear
With wide mowing decks, a weight difference acts on a larger lever. If a single blade is missing or is bent, it becomes noticeable sooner than with compact robots— and it transfers directly to the motor bearing.
Retrofitting individual blades makes it worse
A new blade among used ones has a different weight and creates the next imbalance. That’s why, with Sunseeker, it’s worth replacing the entire mowing disc instead of individual blades.
Higher cutting height, more load
If you mow very high, the blades have to work through denser material more often. This wears down sharpness faster than a short cut during frequent operation.

The mowing disc for Sunseeker V3 and X3 is available with 7 or 9 blades. All blades are manufactured and delivered as a set, so the disc runs balanced from the start.
