MOVA Blade Discs – 600, 1000, LiDAX & VIAX

Replacement mowing discs for MOVA VIAX, MOVA 600/1000 and LiDAX Ultra. Three series, each with its own cutting unit—the mowing discs are not interchangeable with each other.

MOVA: three product lines, three mowing systems

MOVA belongs to the Dreame Group and covers, in the lawn mowing robot market, the price segment below. The range is divided into three product lines, which differ significantly in navigation and area performance—and which each take their own approach with the cutting system.

The product lines in comparison

ModelArea / Special feature
VIAX 250 / 300 / 500Compact class up to 500 m², for intricate gardens
MOVA 600Entry-level class, simple sensing
MOVA 1000up to 1,000 m², same setup as MOVA 600
LiDAX Ultra 800–1600LiDAR navigation, up to 1,600 m²

Typical problems with MOVA robots

Notches on the blades with VIAX
Compact gardens have, in percentage terms, more edges than large areas. With every turning maneuver, the mowing disc shifts sideways through the grass and hits edging borders. If you set the borders one to two centimeters below the grass-sward height, you significantly extend service life.
Suddenly tilting cutting pattern with LiDAX
LiDAR robots run their paths slightly offset with each pass, which means all blades wear evenly. The mowing disc gives less warning than with other systems—check the blade tips every two to three weeks instead of waiting for clear symptoms.
Mowing disc not interchangeable between rows
Despite the same brand, VIAX, MOVA 600/1000 and LiDAX Ultra each have their own mounts. If you own two MOVA devices from different series, you need two separate spare parts inventories.

The entry-level class covers the mowing disc for MOVA 600 and 1000, the LiDAR series of the disc for LiDAX Ultra 800 to 1600, and the compact class of the mowing disc for VIAX 250, 300 and 500.

A practical advantage of the simple models

With robots that use LiDAR or RTK, after service work you often have to readjust settings. The MOVA 600 uses simple sensors—changing the mowing disc remains purely mechanical work, with no follow-up in the software. That also means: you can switch between different blade counts spontaneously in the middle of the season without losing any settings.
