TerraMow runs two product lines in parallel – the S models and the V models. In the cutting deck, the manufacturer combined them: S800, S1200, V600 and V1000 use the same disc. One spare part covers the entire range, available with six, seven or nine pre-assembled stainless steel blades.

S-Series or V-Series – the mowing disc doesn’t matter

When choosing between the S1200 and V1000, you’re comparing navigation, mowing performance, and price. With the cutting system, the comparison ends: all four models use the same mounting.

For storing spare parts, this is unusually convenient. With most manufacturers, switching models also means a new type of mowing disc – not here.

The blades are also interchangeable with each other. If you have two TerraMow units in use, you only need one supply.

What’s behind the "blade protection"?

When you search for blades on TerraMow, Google suggests the term blade protection first. Behind it is a real concern: clippings that wrap around the blade mount slow down the cutting action and must be removed by hand.

That’s exactly what our 6-blade version has with a closed center—the 7- and 9-blade discs don’t. It covers the area where the material would otherwise collect.

So if you were looking for protection for the blade area: in the 6-blade version, it’s already part of the disc and doesn’t need to be mounted separately.

S1200 or V1000 – how do the series differ?

The series differ in navigation technology and equipment; the number, as usual, indicates the intended lawn area. These are the relevant criteria for choosing the device.

When choosing the replacement part: Both series share the mount, disc and blades. An S1200 and a V1000 use the same disc.

The difference is only noticeable when it comes to wear—the model with the larger mowing clearance collects operating hours faster.

How long do the blades last on TerraMow?

It depends less on the device than on the surface. Sandy ground, from which the robot picks up fine grains, dulls the cutting edges significantly faster than pure lawn.

A reliable test takes ten seconds: After mowing, look at a blade of grass. If the tip has been cleanly cut off, everything is fine. If it looks frayed, it’s time to replace the set.

The disc itself lasts through many sets of blades. You only replace it when it starts running unevenly after a collision.

Replacement on TerraMow

Switch off the robot and remove it from the charging station.
Put on gloves and turn the device over.
Remove any accumulated material around the mount.
Loosen the old disc, fit the new one, and tighten it evenly.
Touch each blade— it must be able to rotate freely around its screw.

If you mow on sandy or loamy ground, you should clean the mowing area more thoroughly than usual while you’re at it. Fine grains that are left there otherwise continue to work their way into the cutting area.

All three versions fit all four TerraMow models. The choice depends on how often you mow—and whether the blade area should be protected.

6 blades – with integrated blade protection

Matches the factory configuration and is the answer to the most common TerraMow search of all: Only this version has a closed center that covers the area around the blade mount.

The effect is noticeable in everyday use: damp clippings can’t collect there, the cutting edges run freely, and in most cases you don’t need to flip the unit over.

An additional cutting edge increases the number of cuts per revolution. If you keep the grass short and let the robot mow at short intervals, you’ll see a more closed, uniform result.

The additional wear remains moderate, because when mowing frequently, only a few millimeters are removed anyway.

Without a closed center: No problem on dry ground – in damp conditions or on sandy surfaces, the 6-blade version is easier to maintain.

The densest blade setup fits gardens where the TerraMow runs practically every day and only trims the tips. The result then looks particularly fine.

During longer breaks and stronger growth, six or seven blades last longer—nine narrow edges share the same work and dull sooner.

Frequently asked questions

Does the disc fit the TerraMow S800, S1200, V600 and V1000?

Yes, all four models share the same disc mount. The S and V series differ in area performance and equipment, not in the mowing deck.

I have two TerraMow models – do I need two different discs?

No. As long as both are from the S or V series, the same disc fits. One supply is enough for both devices.

What is the difference between 6, 7 and 9 blades?

The motor power remains the same. More blades mean more cuts per revolution and therefore a finer cutting pattern.

My TerraMow takes longer than before – is it due to the disc?

Possibly. Camera-based robots drive more cautiously when the cutting edge becomes blurry. Also check the camera lens at the front, as dirt can cause similar symptoms.

How often do I need to replace them?

There is no fixed interval. Frayed blade tips are the most reliable signal. Because the TerraMow works thoroughly, it accumulates relatively many operating hours.

Do I need to create the map again after replacing the disc?

No. The disc replacement is purely mechanical; the map and settings remain unchanged.

Are the blades pre-assembled?

Yes, the disc is delivered ready for installation.

GRASBOT Assembly Instructions

General assembly instructions for cutting discs, replacement blades, and blades for compatible robotic lawnmowers.

Note

These instructions apply generally to compatible cutting discs, replacement blades, and blades from GRASBOT.
They do not refer to a specific model or specific version. Always additionally follow
the operating instructions of your robotic lawnmower.

Important safety notice

Always wear suitable protective gloves during assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and maintenance.
Never work on the cutting disc while it is still moving.

1. General safety instructions

The operator is responsible for accidents, injuries, and damage that occur to other people or their property.
Keep children, animals, and bystanders away from the robotic lawnmower during work and during operation.
Never touch the cutting disc or the blades while they are still moving.
Always switch the robotic lawnmower completely off before working on the cutting disc or on the blades.
If possible, remove the battery or disconnect the device from the power supply.
Always wear suitable protective gloves.
Do not use damaged, bent, heavily worn, or corroded blades, screws, or cutting discs.
Regularly check the condition of the blades, the mounting screws, and the cutting disc.

2. Tools and materials required

Suitable screwdriver or bit, matching the screws used.
Protective gloves.
New or inspected fastening screws.
GRASBOT cutting disc, replacement blades, or blade(s).
Optional: soft surface for safely placing the mowing robot.

Important

Use only suitable screws and appropriate mounting material.
If provided for by the manufacturer or included in the delivery, use screws with thread-locking compound
or suitable screw locking.

3. Preparation

Fully stop the mowing robot.
Switch off the device according to the operating instructions.
Remove the battery if possible.
Wait until the cutting disc has come to a complete stop.
Carefully turn the mowing robot over and place it on a stable, soft surface.
Check the work area for cleanliness and adequate lighting.

4. Dismantling the existing cutting disc

Loosen the mounting screws of the existing cutting disc.
Remove the screws completely and set them safely aside.
Carefully remove the existing cutting disc from the blade mount.
Clean the blade mount of grass clippings, dirt, and deposits.
Check the blade mount for damage or unusual wear.

Warning

Do not use the new cutting disc if the blade mount, mounting points,
threads, or screws are damaged. In this case, the lawn mower may only be used again after
proper inspection.

5. Installing the GRASBOT cutting disc

Fit the GRASBOT cutting disc onto the blade mount.
Make sure the cutting disc sits flat and is correctly centered.
Insert the appropriate fastening screws.
Tighten the screws evenly and firmly.
Do not overtighten the screws to avoid damage to threads or components.
After installation, check that the cutting disc is securely fastened.
Carefully rotate the cutting disc by hand and check that it runs freely.

6. Installation or replacement of the replacement blades

Loosen the screws of the old blades.
Carefully remove the old blades.
Clean the contact surfaces on the cutting disc.
Install the new GRASBOT replacement blades on the designated mounting points.
Make sure the blades remain free to move, if this is intended by the design.
Fasten each blade with a suitable screw.
Tighten the screws securely without over-tightening them.
Check each blade for a secure fit and free movement.

7. Check after installation

Are all screws fully inserted and securely fastened?
Is the cutting disc straight and firmly seated?
Can the blades move freely, if intended?
Have no tools or foreign objects been left in the area of the cutting disc?
Does the cutting disc run freely and without grinding?

8. Operation and Maintenance

Check the blades, screws, and cutting disc regularly for wear.
Replace damaged or heavily worn parts immediately.
Clean the cutting disc regularly of grass clippings and dirt.
Do not use the lawn mower robot if unusual noises, vibrations, or running problems occur.
Use only compatible replacement parts and suitable mounting materials.

Note on Blade Replacement

Always replace blades in good time. Dull or damaged blades can worsen the cutting pattern,
place a greater load on the lawn mower robot, and impair safety.
