Description
The LiDAX Ultra models navigate using a laser scanner and therefore drive closer to obstacles than camera-based robots. For the mowing disc, this means: more edge contact, but also fewer idle trips. This disc fits LiDAX Ultra 800, 1000, 1200 and 1600 and comes with pre-assembled stainless steel blades.

Four models, one mowing deck
Between the LiDAX Ultra 800 and 1600, the intended lawn area differs—not the mowing deck. When choosing between the variants, you decide based on property size—when it comes to the spare part, you end up with this disc in every case.
That also explains why search queries like “800 vs 1000 vs 1200” are so common: the models look the same and share the technology; they are simply approved for gardens of different sizes.
Practically speaking, this means: a spare part kept in the cupboard covers the entire range, even if later a larger model is added.

Questions about the LiDAX series
When it comes to the LiDAX models, three points keep coming up—two of them relate to the naming:
How to replace it
- Switch the device off and remove it from the charging station.
- Put on gloves and carefully lay the robot on its side.
- Loosen the grass felt around the mowing deck—especially in the corners of the mount.
- Unscrew the old disc, attach the new one, and tighten evenly.
- Briefly tap each blade: it must be able to rotate freely around its screw.
When turning the device over, it’s worth taking a look at the laser scanner on the top. It should be free of grass splatter—if it’s dirty, it provides inaccurate data and the robot drives less smoothly.

6, 7 or 9 blades for the LiDAX
Because LiDAX models drive along planned paths instead of randomly, every square meter can be calculated and is driven over often. The number of blades determines how finely the result turns out.
6 blades – factory configuration with cover
The version that matches the original. The robot retains its driving and cutting behavior; battery life remains the same.
Only this variant has a cover over the center of the mowing disc – it is not present with 7 and 9 blades. With the LiDAX, this becomes noticeable because the device spends a lot of time in the same zone due to its planned path guidance: Whatever clippings accumulate there end up under the chassis as well. The cover keeps the blade mount free from this.
For operation without regular visual checks, this is the most relaxed choice.

7 blades – for short mowing intervals
One more cutting edge increases the number of cuts per revolution. For robots that mow the same area every two days, this adds up to a visibly calmer mowing pattern.
The additional wear remains manageable – the right balance for well-kept ornamental lawns.
Without center cover: no disadvantage in dry weather; for frequent mowing in the morning dew, the 6-blade version is more practical.
9 blades – maximum density
Nine cutting blades produce the finest result when the robot is out every day and only trims the tips. On grass kept short, this also eliminates the last irregularities.
With larger mowing intervals and taller grass, the math is different: the same amount of work is spread across more edges, which therefore become dull faster.
Also without coverage over the middle – with daily operation, little collects under the device anyway.

Signs of dull cutting
Buy blades individually as replacements
If you mow close to the edge, you replace the cutting edges more often than the average—while the mowing disc stays the same. With the 60 replacement blades set including screws, you’re stocked for a long time.
