Description

Replacement mowing disc for the eufy C15

The C15 is eufy’s entry-level model—compactly built, with a correspondingly limited battery. That’s why we carry it as the only device in our range also with five blades: less cutting means less resistance in the grass and therefore more area per battery charge. In addition, the disc is also available in the classic version with six or seven blades.

The only model that also works with five blades

Why five blades make sense for the C15

Every blade that cuts through grass uses energy. With large robots with a powerful battery, this hardly matters—on the C15 it does, because every minute of runtime counts here.

Five cutting edges instead of six noticeably reduce resistance. As a result, the robot can cover more square meters before it has to return to the charging station, and it needs fewer passes to cover the same area.

The trade-off is a slightly coarser cutting pattern. On everyday lawn grass, for which the C15 is designed, this isn’t noticeable in daily use—on short ornamental lawns, however, it is.

Compatible Model

eufy C15
Not compatible with: eufy E15 and E18. Despite the similar naming, the E models have a different mowing deck—so we offer a separate disc for E15 and E18.

C15 or E15?

This question is asked more often for eufy than any other—and it determines which disc must end up in your shopping cart.

Special feature 5-blade option saves battery larger coverage area

The number 15 appears in both names—the decisive factor is the letter before it. It is shown on the type label on the underside and in the eufy app.

Does having one fewer blade really mean more runtime?

The effect is measurable, but not surprising. Five instead of six blades reduce resistance in the grass by about one-sixth—so the drive motor works correspondingly easier.

In practice, that means: a bit more area per charge, and a slightly shorter total mowing time. If you run your C15 at the upper limit of its recommended area, you’ll notice it most clearly.

If, on the other hand, you have a small garden and the robot is finished before the battery runs out anyway, you won’t gain anything—then six or seven blades are the better choice for the cutting result.

Can I switch between blade counts later?

Yes, the mowing discs are interchangeable with each other. If you start with five blades and find that the cutting result isn’t fine enough, you can switch to six or seven at any time.

It works the same the other way around: if the lawn dries out in midsummer and the robot has a hard time, the 5-blade setup provides additional reserve.

What doesn’t work: moving individual Klinge(n) from one disc to the other to land in between. The discs are each manufactured as a matched set.

Replacement on the C15

  1. Switch the device off and remove it from the charging station.
  2. Put on gloves, turn the robot over, and place it down.
  3. Remove clippings from the mowing area—on the compact C15, they often sit close to the edge of the intake.
  4. Unscrew the old mowing disc, attach the new one, and tighten evenly.
  5. Tap the blades individually: each one must be able to rotate freely around its screw.

On the C15, it’s worth combining the replacement with a quick look at the wheels. Small devices collect surprisingly much material in the wheel wells, which additionally costs power for the drive.

5, 6 or 7 blades

The C15 is the only model for which we offer all three stages. Your choice determines between runtime and fineness—both at the same time isn’t possible.

5 blades – for maximum runtime

The version available only for the C15. Less cutting means less resistance: the robot goes further before it has to return to the station.

Suitable for everyone whose garden makes full use of the C15’s area recommendation or whose lawn grows vigorously. Even if the battery has lost some performance after a few seasons, this blade setup restores range.

Without middle cover—this is available exclusively with the 6-blade version.

Choose 5-blade version

5 blades – protects the battery
Mowing disc with 6 blades for eufy C15
6 blades – as from the factory, with cover

6 blades – factory configuration with cover

Matches the original cutting disc. The C15 behaves exactly as before, the cutting pattern remains unchanged—the safe choice when nothing should be changed other than the condition of the blades.

This version is the only one that has a cover over the center of the blade plate. For the C15, this is a practical advantage because the small clearance to the ground carries clippings inward—without a cover, they collect around the blade holder and additionally slows down the already modest drive.

If you want the robot to simply run, this is the most straightforward option.

7 blades – when the result matters

The densest blade setup for the C15. Seven cutting edges capture every blade of grass more often, making the cut pattern visibly more even – the right choice for lawns kept short right by the seating area.

However, there’s a trade-off: More blades mean more resistance and therefore a slightly shorter runtime per battery charge. In small gardens, that doesn’t matter; at the edge of the area, it does.

Also without center coverage.

Time for new blades?

The C15 returns to the charging station earlier than usual
Blade tips look crushed instead of cut
The lawn gets a dull tone after mowing
A blade no longer moves freely

Buy blades individually as replacements

Dull cutting edges cost you twice with the C15: a poorer cutting result and more power required for the small battery. With the 60-blade replacement set including screws, you can swap them in time instead of driving through a season with half performance.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the eufy C15 have a variant with 5 blades?

Because each blade costs energy and the C15 operates with a slightly undersized battery. Five blades draw less than seven and noticeably extend runtime per charge.

Does the C15 mowing disc also fit the E15 or E18?

No. The E series has a larger mowing deck with a different mounting. The discs are not interchangeable with each other.

Is there a 9-blade disc for the C15?

No. For this mowing deck, 5, 6, and 7 blades are intended. Nine blades would not be sensible for the disc size and battery configuration.

How many blades should I choose for the C15?

If battery runtime is tight, choose 5. If the lawn is small enough that the battery was never an issue, 6 or 7 will provide a finer cutting pattern.

My C15 no longer covers the area in one pass—what could be the reason?

Often it’s due to dull blades. They increase resistance, the motor draws more power, and the battery lasts for a shorter time. A fresh disc often restores the old runtime.

How long does a mowing disc last on the C15?

With average use, about one season to one and a half. A very low set cutting height shortens service life because the blades pick up more soil.

Are the blades pre-assembled?

Yes. The disc comes ready to install—you don’t have to screw the blades on individually.

  7. Tighten the screws securely without over-tightening them.
  8. Check each blade for a secure fit and free movement.

7. Check after installation

  • Are all screws fully inserted and securely fastened?
  • Is the cutting disc straight and firmly seated?
  • Can the blades move freely, if intended?
  • Have no tools or foreign objects been left in the area of the cutting disc?
  • Does the cutting disc run freely and without grinding?

8. Operation and Maintenance

  • Check the blades, screws, and cutting disc regularly for wear.
  • Replace damaged or heavily worn parts immediately.
  • Clean the cutting disc regularly of grass clippings and dirt.
  • Do not use the lawn mower robot if unusual noises, vibrations, or running problems occur.
  • Use only compatible replacement parts and suitable mounting materials.

Note on Blade Replacement

Always replace blades in good time. Dull or damaged blades can worsen the cutting pattern,
place a greater load on the lawn mower robot, and impair safety.
