Description

Replacement mowing disc for the Navimow H Series

The H Series was Segway’s entry into cordless robotic lawnmowers and has been running in many gardens for years. That’s exactly why replacement parts are needed here: If you maintain the robot, you can keep it running for a long time— a new mowing disc costs only a fraction of a new unit. This disc fits H500E, H800E and H1500E, including the VisionFence versions.

Replacement part for the entire H Series

A disc for all three H models

H500E, H800E and H1500E differ in area performance, but they share the same mowing deck. The number in the name indicates how many square meters Segway the device is intended for—nothing changes on the disc.

The VisionFence variants, recognizable by the suffix VF, also use the same disc. The additional camera is mounted at the front of the housing and has nothing to do with the cutting system.

So if you’re still using a first-generation device, you’ll get a replacement part here that exactly matches the factory version—no modifications, no adapters.

Not suitable for: the complete i-series. Segway has introduced a new mowing deck with the i-series – an H-mowing disc does not fit there. For these devices: Mowing disc for i105E, i108E & i205 AWD · Mowing disc for i208 AWD, i215 & i220 LiDAR.

H-series or i-series?

“H500E or i105E” is one of the most searched comparisons around Navimow – and at the same time the most common cause of errors when ordering replacement parts.

How can I tell which series is in my garden?

By the model name. It’s on the type label on the underside and in the app under device information. If it starts with a H, the robot belongs to this mowing disc. If it starts with an i, you need one of the two i versions.

A second feature is the design: The H devices look flatter and wider, while the i models are more compact and taller. Anyone who has seen both side by side will recognize the difference immediately – but when it comes to reliability, checking the type label is better than memory.

The additional VF for VisionFence changes nothing about the assignment: an H500E-VF uses the same mowing disc as an H500E without a camera.

H500E, H800E or H1500E – does it make a difference for the mowing disc?

No. The three models cover different-sized areas, but they use the same mowing system. A replacement part fits all three.

Practically speaking: even if you upgrade within the H series or buy a second unit for a different part of the garden, you don’t need a second type of mowing disc on the shelf.

The only real difference is the rate of wear—an H1500E operating at full area runs significantly more hours than an H500E in a small garden.

Does the replacement part still make sense for an older device?

In most cases, yes. The mechanics of the H series are robust—what first wears out are the blades and mowing disc, i.e., exactly the parts you can replace.

A robot that runs perfectly well except for a dull mowing system is fully ready for use again with a new mowing disc. That’s a different cost bracket than buying a new unit.

It looks different when the battery has also been significantly depleted and the operating times become noticeably shorter. Then a fundamental decision is needed—having just the disc alone doesn’t solve it.

Replacement on the H series

  1. Switch off the robot and remove it from the charging station.
  2. Put on gloves, turn the device over, and place it down securely.
  3. Clear the mowing area of old cuttings—on devices used for longer periods, dried-up felt often sticks here.
  4. Loosen the old mowing disc, fit the new one, and tighten it evenly.
  5. Tap each blade: It must be able to rotate freely around its screw.

For devices that have already been in use for a few seasons, it’s worth replacing the screws instead of reusing them. Worn heads are difficult to loosen next time.

6, 7, or 9 blades for the H series

All three configurations fit the same mount. Which one makes sense depends on how often the robot runs and how short the lawn is kept.

6 blades – factory configuration with cover

Matches the original: same number of blades, same cutting behavior. For anyone who wants to simply replace the worn mowing disc without changing anything about the mowing behavior.

Only with this configuration is there a cover over the center of the mowing disc – it is omitted with 7 and 9 blades. With the H models and their flat design, this has noticeable effects: the distance between the chassis and the ground is small, so a lot of clippings are pushed inward. The cover keeps the area around the blade mount clear instead of allowing it to clog.

If you run your device for years and want as little maintenance as possible, this is the most straightforward option.

6 blades – with covered center
Mowing disc with 7 blades for Navimow H series
7 blades – finer cutting pattern

7 blades – for well-kept areas

One cutting edge more, visibly more even cutting. Useful when the lawn is kept short and the robot runs at short intervals.

With the H models, which often handle larger, contiguous areas, this is noticeable especially over the area itself – the cut looks more closed.

Here without center cover. If you let the robot run mainly in dry weather, you’ll hardly notice it.

9 blades – for short-cut lawns

The densest variant is worth it for daily operation on a short-cut lawn. The cutting pattern is very even; individual blades left behind are hardly noticeable.

If, on the other hand, the robot only runs twice a week and has to cut down longer grass, the 6-blade or 7-blade setup is more robust.

Also without coverage over the middle – in practice uncritical for short, dry grass.

Choose 9-blade variant

Additional charge, see selection above

How you can tell the mowing disc is due

The cut surface looks frayed instead of smooth
After mowing, a grayish tone remains on the lawn
The disc no longer runs smoothly after a collision
A blade can only be moved with difficulty

Buy blades individually

Especially with older devices, it’s worth having spare blades at home: The 60 cm replacement blades set including screws is enough for many replacements—and fresh screws are the better choice for robots that have already been through a few seasons.

Frequently asked questions

Does the cutting disc fit the H500E, H800E, and H1500E?

Yes, all three H-series models use the same disc mount. They differ in battery and mowing performance, not in the mowing unit.

Can I use the H mowing disc on the Navimow i105E or i205 AWD?

No. The i-series has a different mowing unit. H and i discs are not interchangeable.

Do I need to recalibrate the Navimow H after changing the disc?

Normally, no—provided the RTK antenna remains untouched in its position. Take the robot off the lawn for the disc change. If the antenna was moved, a new calibration via the app is required.

How often does the disc need to be replaced on the Navimow H?

There is no fixed interval. With average use, a set lasts about one season to one and a half. Sandy ground shortens the service life.

What is the difference between 6, 7, and 9 blades on the H800E?

The motor remains equally powerful; only the number of cuts per revolution changes. More blades produce a finer cutting pattern, but no higher cutting force.

The Navimow runs unevenly after the change—what should I do?

First, check whether there is grass felt between the mount and the disc. If so: remove it, clean, and reattach the disc. If the uneven running continues, check that all blades can swing out freely.

Are the blades mounted at delivery?

Yes, the disc arrives pre-assembled with attached blades.
